Character Name: Elizaveta Héderváry
Gender: Female
Country: Hungary
Age: 23
Student or Teacher?: Teacher
Class/Classes: History, Fencing
Status: Nerd
Character information (likes, dislikes, personality):
Elizaveta is a nice and sweet girl but also a bit of a loner. She has a tomboyish and somewhat nerdy personality due to have grown up around men and very few women. She is a very strong woman and could rival any man in a fight. Despite her tomboyish personality, she is very motherly and is very protective of the people she cares for and would do anything to protect them. She can be a bit absent-minded at times. Due to her past, she hates bullies and punks and is more than willing to help students who are victims of bullying or social outcast. Traditions and her Hungarian heritage are very important to her. She is oblivious to her own beauty and attractiveness.
Likes: History, Foreign cultures and traditions, sappy love stories, classical music (Liszt and Strauss are her favourites), sketching, sweets, kind and respectful people, cooking, fencing
Dislikes: Bullies, punks, disrespectful people, jerks, perverts, loneliness, people mistreating others, people who think that they are better than others
Past of the character (Hows life outside school?):
Elizaveta was born from a lower-nobility family in Hungary that was stripped of everything during the Communist era. Her family moved out of the country at the fall of the Iron Curtain. She became a social outcast because not only was she a foreigner, but her tomboyish nature made her the laughing stock from the girls and ridicule from the boys. She quickly became a loner and would rather spend her free time reading. She eventually got an interest in history after reading a history book of her home country, Hungary.
Her high school life didn’t start well. On the first day, she got into a fight with the school’s bullies and knocked them all out single-handedly. She gained respect but was also feared and, once again, she was a social outcast. Although she became much more feminine during high school, her tomboyish nature still stuck out.
Elizaveta graduated high school and went to university. Sadly, her parents could only afford to pay for a bachelor’s degree. One day, she hopes to be able to get her Ph.D. in History and teach at a university.
She is a relatively new teacher at the high school. She was hired as a history teacher but also volunteered to become a fencing instructor as well.
Roleplay Sample (Show us how you play):
Elizaveta was giving her usual lecture to her history class. She was sitting on her desk, legs crossed while one hand was on the desk to keep her balance while the other held her notebook. The Hungarian had discarded her sweater than she usually wore to distinguish herself from the other female students and it was left on the chair that she barely used, preferring to sit on the desk as such. Now, she looked like the other female students, wearing the white shirt and plaid skirt while she wore long socks that reached all the way above her knees. She always assumed that history was a really boring subject for most, so she wondered why all of her students were paying complete attention to her while she gave what most would call a boring lecture. The answer was obvious, but she was completely oblivious to it.
“Alright, we’ll continue the lecture next class. For those who didn’t hand in their assignment, please put them on my desk before heading out.” she said with her usual sweet and cheerful voice right before the bell rang. While the students headed out of her class and she was getting ready to leave herself, one of her students walked up to her shyly. The student was usually quiet and never bothered her class, but it turned out that she was being bullied.
“I know the feeling,” she said, her hands resting on her student's shoulder, “I can’t do much about it, but if you come with me to the administration, I’m sure they can sort this thing out!” Elizaveta smiled sweetly to the girl while speaking with a really soft voice. The student smiled shyly and followed her to the administration where they, indeed, sorted things out. When they left, the student stuttered an apology for wasting her time and thanked her for the help. “Don’t worry about it; I’m more than happy to help! Come see me if anything happens, alright?” The girl smiled and nodded before taking her leave. It was sorting these things out that made her time as a teacher much more enjoyable.
